  • 5/8 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 ripe bananas
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar

Preheat the deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pan to a high temperature of 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl, stirring until they are evenly blended.

In another bowl, use a fork to mash the bananas and sugar together until smooth. Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture, stirring constantly until everything is well incorporated.

If necessary, work in small batches when adding spoonfuls of the batter to the hot oil. Cook for 2 to 8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove the fried treats from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
