- 8 (6 inch) corn tortillas
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil, or more as needed

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius for those using metric measurements).

Next, take your tortillas and cut them in half lengthwise. Then, slice these halves into thin strips that are approximately 1/8 of an inch thick.

Now, place these tortilla strips into a bowl and drizzle them with oil until they are evenly coated.

Then, transfer the oiled strips to a baking sheet and arrange them in a single layer, making sure not to overlap any of the strips.

Finally, bake these strips in your preheated oven until they are crispy and lightly browned, which should take around 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven and let them cool before using.
