Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds pork cutlets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 serving nonstick cooking spray
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions
1
Combine the ingredients of pork, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl and mix until they are evenly coated.
2
Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes.
3
In the meantime, preheat your air fryer oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
4
Spray the air fryer basket with a non-stick cooking spray to prevent food from sticking.
5
Place the pork in the air fryer basket and also spray it with a non-stick cooking spray for even browning.
6
Cook the pork in the air fryer for 10 minutes.
7
During this time, shake the basket occasionally to ensure even cooking.
8
Continue cooking the pork until it reaches your desired level of crispiness, which should take around 10 minutes more.
9
While the pork is cooking, combine sugar, vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce in a saucepan over high heat.
10
Whisk the mixture constantly until the sugar has dissolved and it comes to a boil.
11
Reduce the heat to low and keep the sauce warm until you're ready to use it.
12
Transfer the cooked pork to a bowl.
13
Pour the prepared sauce over the top of the pork and mix until it's evenly coated.
