Crispy Air Fryer Frittata
Ingredients
  • cooking spray
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/3 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup breakfast sausage crumbles
  • 1/2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 cup salsa, or more to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) as per the manufacturer's guidelines.
2
Prepare a small, round metal container with a diameter of about 6 inches and a height of 4 inches by spraying cooking spray on its bottom and sides.
3
Add some flavor to your dish by incorporating butter, then carefully place the prepared metal container into the air fryer and heat it for 45 seconds to melt the butter.
4
Add sliced bell pepper and onion to the air fryer, cooking them for 2 minutes until they're tender.
5
Remove the metal container from the air fryer and mix in some sausage crumbles, followed by sprinkling Colby Jack cheese on top. Set the mixture aside.
6
In a separate bowl, whisk eggs until their yolks and whites are fully incorporated. Add salt, pepper, and hot sauce to the eggs and mix until well combined.
7
Pour the egg mixture over the other ingredients in the metal container, gently combining everything together.
8
Return the metal container to the air fryer's basket and cook until the top of your frittata is lightly browned, about 12 minutes. Continue air frying in short intervals of 30 seconds until the frittata is fully set.
9
Serve your warm or room-temperature frittata with a side of salsa.
