Crispy Air Fryer Fried Rice
Ingredients
  • 2 cups cold cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
Instructions
1
Collect all the necessary components required for this dish.
2
First, follow the manufacturer's guidelines to heat a 5-quart air fryer oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
3
Combine cooked rice, sesame oil, water, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper in a large mixing container. Ensure the ingredients are well-blended and evenly distributed.
4
Transfer the rice mixture to a 7-inch round metal cake pan or an air fryer insert. Place the cake pan into the air fryer basket to facilitate easy removal.
5
Next, position the basket containing the rice mixture inside the preheated air fryer. Cook for 10 minutes, with a mid-point stirring to prevent burning.
6
Subsequently, pour beaten egg over the cooked rice and continue air-frying until the egg is fully set, approximately 4 minutes.
7
Add peas and carrots to the mixture; stir well to combine the ingredients. Air-fry for an additional 2 minutes, ensuring the egg is fully incorporated.
8
Meanwhile, prepare a small bowl by whisking together soy sauce and Sriracha. Set the sauce aside for serving purposes.
9
Finally, divide the fried rice between two serving bowls and pour the prepared soy sauce mixture over the top.
