Ingredients
- 1 pound cod fillets
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- cooking spray
Instructions
1
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2
Remove excess moisture from fish fillets by gently patting them dry with paper towels. Cut the fish into 1x3-inch strips.
3
In a shallow dish, pour flour to coat the surface. In another shallow dish, whisk an egg until it's smooth and free of lumps.
4
In a third shallow dish, mix together panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, paprika, and a pinch of pepper.
5
Coat each fish strip in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip the floured fish into the beaten egg, making sure it's fully coated. Finally, coat the fish in the seasoned panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
6
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange half of the fish strips in the basket, leaving a small gap between each piece to prevent overcrowding. Spray the top of each fish strip with cooking spray.
7
Cook the fish strips in the preheated air fryer for 5 minutes. Flip them over and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Repeat the process with the remaining fish strips.
