  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon pesto
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
  • 1 ounce finely shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon cantanzaro herbs (such as Savory Spice Shop®)
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pound chicken tenders

Preheat your air fryer to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).

Mix together an egg, some pesto sauce, and a pinch of salt in a shallow dish. In another separate dish, combine crushed cornflakes, grated Parmesan cheese, dried cantanzaro herbs, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt.

Dip each piece of your chosen chicken into the egg mixture first, coating it evenly. Then, roll it in the cornflake mixture, gently shaking off any excess crumbs that fall away. Place your coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket.

Cook the chicken pieces in the air fryer for an initial 5 minutes. Remove them from the basket, rearrange them if necessary, and continue cooking until they are no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, adding a further 5 minutes to your cooking time.
