  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Soak the corn kernels in a large container filled with water, allowing them to rehydrate and soften for an extended period of time, preferably 8 hours or overnight.

Drain the water from the container and spread the corn kernels out in a uniform layer on a large, flat surface such as a baking sheet. Gently pat the corn dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Preheat your air fryer to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).

Transfer the corn kernels to another large container. Add a small amount of oil and sprinkle with salt; mix until the corn is evenly coated.

Divide the corn kernels into smaller batches and place them in the air fryer basket, arranging them in a uniform layer. Cook the corn kernels in the preheated air fryer for 10 minutes, then shake the basket to redistribute the kernels. Continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes, shaking the basket again and then for a final 5 minutes. Remove the cooked corn nuts from the air fryer basket and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat this process with any remaining corn kernels.
