Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 (19.1 ounce) package ground chicken breast
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- cooking spray
Instructions
1
Combine softened butter, chopped parsley, and minced garlic in a bowl until they are fully incorporated. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions on a baking sheet and refrigerate until it becomes firm, approximately 20 minutes.
2
Next, shape ground chicken into 12 identical spheres. Create a small indentation in the center of each sphere using your thumb. Place a frozen herbed butter cube at the center of each chicken ball, covering it completely with the meat. Repeat this process for all remaining spheres.
3
In a separate bowl, whisk eggs until they are smooth. In another bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs, paprika, salt, and pepper.
4
Dip one ground chicken sphere into the beaten eggs, then coat it evenly with the seasoned panko mixture. Dip the coated chicken back into the beaten eggs and then coat it again with the seasoned panko mixture. Repeat this process for all remaining chicken spheres. Place them on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
5
Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Place half of the chicken spheres in the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
6
Cook for 5 minutes, then use tongs to flip the chicken spheres over. Spray with cooking spray again and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken spheres.
