Crescent Roll Meatball Bites
Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or as needed
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix (such as Lipton®)
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough (such as Pillsbury®
  • 1 egg
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 325 degrees Fahrenheit, or equivalently, 165 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take two baking sheets and apply a thin layer of butter to each one to prevent sticking during the cooking process.
3
Meanwhile, combine ground turkey with finely chopped onion, a packet of onion soup mix, fresh parsley, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Form the mixture into approximately 48 small, uniform meatballs.
4
In a separate container, keep one package of crescent rolls refrigerated until needed. Open the package and carefully separate the dough along its natural seams.
5
Cut each triangle-shaped piece of dough into thirds to create smaller, more manageable pieces. Place a single meatball in the center of each dough triangle and gently stretch and wrap the dough around it, pinching the edges to seal the roll.
6
Place the stuffed rolls seam-side down onto one of the prepared baking sheets. Repeat this process with the second roll of dough and any remaining meatballs.
7
In a separate bowl, whisk an egg until it's fully incorporated. Brush the egg wash over each of the stuffed rolls to add a layer of flavor and texture.
8
Finally, place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a meatball reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit, or 71 degrees Celsius. This should take around 20 to 25 minutes. Serve the warm, savory meatballs immediately.
