- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup heavy cream

Combine the potatoes, a pre-made au gratin potato mix, and chicken broth in a large saucepan or pot. If the mixture is not liquid enough, add additional water to achieve this consistency. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring periodically, until the potatoes are tender and easily pierced with a fork, approximately 40 minutes. Introduce cream into the saucepan and gently warm it through. Present the dish.
