Creamy Vodka Sauce

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 pint heavy cream

Heat butter in a pan on medium heat until it starts to melt and become liquid. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until it becomes translucent and slightly caramelized, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.

Next, add the vodka to the pan and allow it to simmer for a longer period of time, about 10 minutes.

Following that, introduce crushed tomatoes into the mixture and continue to cook for a considerable amount of time, around 30 minutes.

Subsequently, add the heavy cream to the pan and let it cook for another 30 minutes.
