Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package smoked sausage
- 2 potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 cups kale - washed, dried, and shredded
- 2 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
- 1 quart water
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

Take sausage links and position them on a baking sheet; bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until they are fully cooked through. Slice them lengthwise and then cut at an angle into thin strips.

In a large saucepan, combine sliced onions and diced bacon; cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until the bacon is crispy and the onions are tender. Remove the cooked bacon from the saucepan and crumble it into smaller pieces; set it aside.

Add minced garlic to the saucepan and cook for 1 minute. Then, add bouillon powder, water, and diced potatoes; bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 15 minutes.

Add the crumbled bacon, cooked sausage links, chopped kale, and a splash of cream to the saucepan. Continue to simmer for 4 minutes before serving.
