Ingredients
- 1/2 (16 ounce) package linguine pasta
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Pinot Grigio wine
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice, or to taste
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 1/4 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, or to taste
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a large pot with water, adding a moderate amount of salt to the liquid. Place the pot over high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil.
2
While the pasta is cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Introduce minced garlic into the skillet and cook until it emits a fragrant aroma and develops a light brown hue, approximately 1 minute.
3
Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking them until their tails begin to curl inwards, roughly 2 minutes on each side. Add the remaining butter, a dry white wine such as Pinot Grigio, fresh lemon juice, and half-and-half to the skillet. Stir the ingredients together.
4
Discard the linguine and divide it between two serving dishes. Place the shrimp mixture atop the noodles, finishing with a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
