Ingredients
- 12 ounces fettuccine (340 grams)
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces (450 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (50 grams)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste

Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add asparagus pieces to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender.

Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach the desired sauce consistency.
