  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Begin by filling a large pot with water and adding a moderate amount of salt. Place the pot over high heat, allowing it to reach a rolling boil.

Once boiling, add bow tie pasta to the pot and stir occasionally as it cooks until it reaches a tender yet slightly resistant texture, typically within 12 minutes of cooking time. Remove the pasta from the boiling water with a slotted spoon and return it to the pot.

Meanwhile, melt a small amount of butter in a separate saucepan over low heat. Add heavy cream and minced garlic cloves to the saucepan, stirring gently as it warms through, taking about 2-3 minutes. Discard the garlic cloves once they have reached their desired level of heat.
