- 1/2 cup white wine
- garlic powder to taste

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley

Heat a skillet over medium heat, then melt half of the butter. Introduce the onions into the skillet and cook until they turn a golden color, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Combine the orzo, mushrooms, and remaining butter in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until the butter is fully incorporated and the mushrooms are tender.

Add water and wine to the skillet, bringing it to a rolling boil. Lower the heat to a low simmer and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Allow the mixture to cook for 7-10 minutes or until the orzo reaches an al dente texture. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
