  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Next, preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).

Combine milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract in a bowl using a whisk until they are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

Pour the resulting egg mixture into 6 individual serving cups; sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg on top of each cup.

Carefully position the custard cups in a baking pan, making sure they are aligned and secure.

Fill the baking pan with enough hot water to cover the tops of the custard cups halfway, creating a makeshift "water bath".
