Creamy Chicken Alfredo Lasagna
Ingredients
  • 1 (16 ounce) package lasagna noodles
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
  • 3 cooked, boneless chicken breast halves, diced
  • 2 (16 ounce) jars Alfredo-style pasta sauce
  • 2 pints ricotta cheese
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit.
2
Fill a large pot with water and add a moderate amount of salt to the water, then bring it to a rolling boil.
3
Add lasagna noodles to the boiling water and cook until they are tender but still slightly firm in the middle, taking around eight to ten minutes; remove them from the water.
4
Place a portion of frozen spinach and half a cup of water in a two-quart saucepan with nonstick properties; bring the mixture to a boil.
5
Reduce the heat and cover the saucepan, stirring occasionally until the spinach is tender, taking around six to seven minutes.
6
Remove excess water from the cooked spinach.
7
Mix together chicken and a jar of pre-made Alfredo sauce in a medium-sized bowl until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
8
Combine ricotta cheese with cooked spinach in another medium-sized bowl, stirring until the two are well combined.
9
Create a single layer of lasagna noodles in a nine by thirteen inch baking dish, overlapping the edges.
10
Pour chicken-Alfredo mixture over noodles and spread it evenly across the surface.
11
Sprinkle a large quantity of mozzarella cheese on top, covering the entire layer.
12
Cover with another layer of noodles.
13
Spread spinach mixture evenly over noodles.
14
Pour half of the remaining jar of Alfredo sauce over spinach mixture and spread it evenly across the surface.
15
Sprinkle a large quantity of mozzarella cheese on top, covering the entire layer.
16
Add a final layer of noodles and cover with remaining Alfredo sauce and two cups of mozzarella cheese.
17
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
18
Bake the lasagna in a preheated oven for an extended period of time, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly, taking around fifty to sixty minutes.
