Creamy Baked Spaghetti Casserole with Cream Cheese
Ingredients
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a medium-hot temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Next, lightly coat the interior surface of a rectangular baking dish measuring 9 inches by 13 inches with a thin layer of oil or cooking spray.
3
In a massive container filled with salted water, bring the liquid to a rolling boil. Cook long, thin strands of pasta called spaghetti in this boiling water mixture, stirring occasionally, until they are tender but still retain a bit of firmness in the center when bitten into, which should take around 12 minutes.
4
Simultaneously, heat a metal pan over a moderately high level of heat. Cook and stir ground beef in this hot pan until it is browned and crumbles easily, taking about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove excess fat from the pan and stir in a pre-made pasta sauce.
5
Drain cooked spaghetti and place it in a serving dish. Add softened cream cheese, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, and salted garlic to the pasta. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and the spaghetti is well-coated.
6
Place a small amount of meat sauce at the bottom of the prepared baking dish; add cooked spaghetti on top and cover it with the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle shredded Parmesan and mozzarella cheese over the top.
7
Bake the assembled dish in your preheated oven until it's hot and bubbly, taking around 30 minutes.
