Cream Cheese Steak Pasta
Ingredients
  • 1 (8 ounce) package farfalle (bow-tie) pasta
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 (6 ounce) package sliced white mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup French-fried onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3/4 pound cooked steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup milk, or as needed
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Boil a substantial container filled with salted water to the point where it's vigorously bubbling. Introduce farfalle into the pot and resume boiling until it reaches your desired level of doneness, approximately 12 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving container.
2
In a large cooking vessel, combine olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms, chopped onions, and minced garlic; cook and stir until the mushrooms are tender, taking around 5 to 10 minutes.
3
In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, wine, tomato paste, lemon juice, cornstarch, bouillon cube, parsley, seasoned salt, and paprika. Add sliced steak to the bowl and combine. Gradually add this mixture to the skillet containing mushrooms, onions, and garlic; cook over low heat until the sauce is warmed through and smooth, around 5 to 10 minutes. Add milk as needed to achieve your desired sauce consistency.
4
Pour the prepared cream cheese mixture over cooked farfalle and toss gently to coat. Add a pinch of black pepper for added flavor.
