Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
Instructions
1
Heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) before proceeding with the recipe.
2
Combine flour, oats, and three-quarters of a cup of brown sugar in a medium-sized bowl. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to break down the butter and mix it with the dry ingredients until you achieve a crumbly texture. Set aside 1 1/2 cups of this mixture and press the remaining mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
3
Place the prepared crust in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
4
In a separate, small bowl, mix cream cheese with sweetened condensed milk until it reaches a light and fluffy consistency. Add lemon juice to the mixture and spread it evenly over the prepared crust.
5
In another small bowl, mix cranberry sauce with cornstarch and three-quarters of a cup of brown sugar. Spoon this mixture over the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle the top with the reserved crust mixture.
6
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake until the top is golden brown, approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
7
Once baked, let the dish cool completely before cutting it into bars. Store the cooled bars in a covered container in the refrigerator.
