Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce (such as Ocean Spray®)
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 2 1/2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius.
2
Mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped parsley, eggs, grated onion, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a bowl until everything is well incorporated.
3
Take small portions of the meat mixture, about 2 teaspoons each, and shape them into individual balls. Place these balls in a large, deep baking dish.
4
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes, or until they are nicely browned on the outside.
5
Remove any excess grease from the baking dish after taking the meatballs out of the oven.
6
In a separate saucepan, combine jellied cranberry sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Place the saucepan over medium heat on your stovetop.
7
Stir the sauce constantly until the cranberry sauce has fully melted and the brown sugar has dissolved.
8
Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs in the baking dish. Continue to bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the sauce forms a glaze and the meatballs are no longer pink inside.
