  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon OLD BAY® Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 2 hot dog buns

Crack open the flake crabmeat into a medium-sized bowl, taking care not to break up the delicate pieces. Combine the crabmeat with mayonnaise, finely chopped onion, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of seasoning in the bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together harmoniously.

Position an oven rack approximately 6 inches away from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler to a high temperature. Take a generous amount of butter and spread it evenly onto the inside of the hot dog buns.

Carefully place the hot dog buns under the preheated broiler, watching them closely as they toast to a golden brown perfection. Remove the buns from the oven and fill them generously with the chilled crab salad, before serving immediately.
