Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, minced
- 4 carrots, minced
- 3 celery ribs, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup barley
- 3 (10 ounce) cans beef broth
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1
Gather all necessary components for the recipe.
2
Heat a substantial cooking vessel over a medium-high thermal setting, and fragment ground beef into smaller pieces. Cook and stir constantly until the ground beef is uniformly browned and no longer exhibits a pinkish hue. Remove any excess fat that has accumulated during the cooking process.
3
Introduce chopped onion, sliced carrots, diced celery, and cooked barley into the mixture. Pour in beef broth, canned diced tomatoes, water, and a concentrated soup product. Add seasonings such as dried bay leaves, fresh parsley, minced garlic, dried thyme, and ground pepper. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil before gradually decreasing the thermal setting and covering the vessel.
4
Allow the ingredients to simmer for 2 hours, stirring periodically. Remove the bay leaf before presenting the dish.
5
Serve the hot meal and indulge in its flavors!
