  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices deli sliced corned beef
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Collect all necessary components and heat a substantial griddle or frying pan over an intermediate temperature.

Evenly distribute one side of bread slices with Thousand Island dressing.

On four bread slices, create a layered structure consisting of one slice Swiss cheese, two slices corned beef, a quarter cup sauerkraut, and another slice of Swiss cheese. Cover with the remaining bread slices, dressing-side facing downwards. Apply butter to the top of each sandwich.
