Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- salt to taste
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 (11 ounce) can Mexican-style corn
Instructions
1
Prepare the slow cooker by placing chicken and salsa inside it the evening prior to your desired meal time. Add a blend of spices, including garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper, to give the dish its distinct flavor. Set the slow cooker to Low heat for 6-8 hours.
2
About 3-4 hours before you plan to consume the chili, transfer the chicken from the slow cooker to a plate and use two forks to shred it into tender pieces. Return the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker.
3
Add pinto beans and corn to the slow cooker, allowing them to simmer until you're ready to serve.
