Comforting Goulash with Beef and Cheese
Ingredients
  • 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Fill a large container with water and add a pinch of salt. Place the container on the stovetop and bring it to a rolling boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired level of tenderness yet still retains some bite, approximately 8 minutes. Remove from heat and return the macaroni to its container.
3
Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook, stirring frequently, until it reaches a browned and crumbly state, taking around 5 to 7 minutes.
4
Mix the tomato soup and tomato sauce together with the cooked beef, then combine this mixture with the cooked macaroni. Transfer the macaroni and beef mixture to a 1.5-quart baking dish. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top of the macaroni mixture.
5
Bake the macaroni and cheese in your preheated oven until the cheese is melted, taking around 10 to 15 minutes.
