- 2 cups coconut water, or as needed
- 1 cup basmati rice
- salt, or as desired
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 teaspoons unsalted butter

Heat the saucepan over high heat and pour in 1 cup of coconut water, bringing it to a rolling boil. Next, add the basmati rice and a pinch of salt, then cover the saucepan to trap the heat. Gradually lower the heat to a gentle simmer and occasionally stir the mixture, adding more coconut water as necessary to achieve the perfect consistency. This should take around 15 minutes or until the rice is tender but still retains some firmness.

After removing the saucepan from the heat, stir in a handful of chopped cilantro and a pat of butter to infuse the dish with fresh flavor. Finally, cover the saucepan once more and let it rest for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the coconut water to be fully absorbed and the flavors to meld together.
