Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup NESTLE® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2
Prepare an 8-inch-square baking pan by lining it with a sheet of aluminum foil, making sure to cover the entire surface.
3
Next, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of evaporated milk, 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, and a pinch of salt in a medium-sized saucepan with heavy-duty bottom. Place the saucepan over medium heat on your stovetop and bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly with a spoon or spatula.
4
Continue boiling the mixture for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly throughout this time.
5
Once the saucepan has reached its boiling point, remove it from the heat source.
6
Now, stir in 1 cup of mini marshmallows, 1/2 cup of chocolate morsels, 1/4 cup of chopped pecans, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Continue stirring the mixture vigorously until the marshmallows have melted, approximately 1 minute.
7
Pour the marshmallow mixture into your prepared baking pan and refrigerate it until it has set, about 2 hours.
8
Once the mixture has firmed up, use a spatula or knife to lift it out of the pan and remove the foil.
9
Finally, cut the mixture into desired-sized pieces to serve.
