  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 7/8 cup water
  • 1/4 cup margarine, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Combine dry ingredients, including flour and sugar, in a saucepan positioned over the stovetop on medium-high heat. Mix everything together using an electric whisk until well combined, then add in eggs, evaporated milk, and water. Continue stirring constantly as the mixture reaches its boiling point.

Once at a boil, decrease heat to medium-low and maintain vigorous whisking throughout the cooking process. This will ensure the pudding thickens, taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Upon reaching the desired consistency, remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit for around 10 minutes to allow the pudding to cool slightly. At this stage, incorporate margarine and vanilla extract into the mixture until fully incorporated.
