Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package lasagna noodles
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 pound shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 pint ricotta cheese
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a large container with water, adding a moderate amount of salt to the mixture. Next, bring this water to a rolling boil, creating a potent force that will help to cook your pasta. Once the water has reached its boiling point, carefully add the pasta and continue to boil for 8-10 minutes or until it reaches your desired level of firmness. Remove the pasta from the water and set it aside to drain excess moisture.
2
In a separate area, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This will create an ideal environment for cooking and baking various dishes. In a large skillet, heat it over medium-high temperatures, allowing you to brown the beef and season it with salt and pepper. Once the beef is nicely browned, remove it from the skillet and drain any excess moisture.
3
In a small bowl, combine three different types of cheese: mozzarella, Cheddar, and ricotta. Stir these ingredients together until they are well combined.
4
In a 9x13 inch baking pan, create layers of noodles, the meat mixture, and the cheese mixture. Continue to build these layers until the entire pan is filled.
5
Place this layered creation in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
