- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti

Heat a large skillet over medium heat, stirring the sausage constantly until it reaches a browned state. Remove excess moisture.

Combine tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper with the cooked sausage in the skillet. Allow the sauce to simmer over medium-low heat for at least 1 hour, preferably all day.

In a separate pot, bring a substantial amount of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water until it reaches an optimal level of tenderness, still retaining a slight firmness when bitten into, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the spaghetti and transfer it to a large serving container.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the simmering sauce, gently tossing until the pasta is evenly coated with the flavorful sauce.
