Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained, liquid reserved
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- salt and pepper to taste

Heat a medium-sized saucepan over a moderate temperature setting, then cook and stir the minced garlic in the olive oil for about 3 minutes, or until it becomes soft and fragrant.

Combine garbanzo beans with a small amount of the liquid that was left over after draining them, and then use a blender or food processor to puree the mixture until it reaches your desired smoothness. Add the cooked garlic, sesame seeds, salt, and pepper to the blender, then continue blending until you achieve the perfect consistency. If needed, add more of the reserved garbanzo bean liquid to reach your desired level of smoothness. Finally, refrigerate the mixture until you're ready to serve it.
