Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a medium-high temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). To ensure easy removal, line the interior of a rectangular bread mold measuring 9x5 inches with parchment paper, allowing an excess of the paper to drape over two sides for secure attachment.
2
In a spacious mixing container, merge softened butter, granulated white sugar, brown sugar, the essence of vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Utilizing an electric mixer, blend these ingredients until they form a light and airy consistency. Gradually incorporate flour into the mixture, then proceed to add eggs one by one, taking care to scrape the sides of the bowl after each egg addition.
3
Once all ingredients have been incorporated, pour the resulting batter into your prepared loaf mold. Place the mold in a preheated oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes.
4
Following removal from the oven, utilize the excess parchment paper to lift the cake out of its mold. Position the cake on a wire rack and allow it to cool thoroughly, which should take around 30 minutes.
