Ingredients
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 (14.1 ounce) package double-crust pie pastry, thawed
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
1
Collect all the necessary components for preparation. Position the oven rack to its most inferior level and heat the oven to a temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if desired).
2
Combine granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl; sprinkle over the blueberries.
3
Cover a pie dish with one of the pastry components. Fill the crust with the berry mixture and add small pieces of butter on top. Cut the remaining pastry into thin strips, approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch wide. Arrange these strips in a woven pattern on top of the pie, forming a lattice design. Press and shape the edges to create a decorative border.
4
Place the pie on the lowest oven rack and bake until the filling is bubbling and the crust has turned a golden brown color, approximately 50 minutes.
5
Divide the pie into slices and indulge in your creation!
