- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and flour over medium-low heat. Stir the mixture constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Gradually introduce egg yolks into the saucepan, stirring continuously as you increase the heat to medium-high. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens, approximately 15 minutes. Next, remove the saucepan from the heat source and incorporate vanilla extract into the mixture. Finally, serve the warm or chilled chocolate sauce.
