- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- ground black pepper to taste

Acquire all necessary ingredients for the dish.

Heat a substantial container of salted water to its boiling point. Introduce diced potatoes into the pot and cook until they reach a tender yet still slightly firm texture, approximately 15 minutes.

Drain the cooked potatoes, allow them to cool down, then remove their outer layers and cut them into smaller pieces.

During the time the potatoes are cooking, place eggs in a separate container and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to its boiling point; then, cover the container, remove it from heat, and let the eggs sit in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes.
