  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preheat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 375 degrees F (or equivalently, 190 degrees C).

Take the pie crust pastry and press it smoothly into the bottom of a 9-inch round baking dish.

Mix all the ingredients for the filling - syrup, cream, bread crumbs, lemon zest, and lemon juice - in a bowl until they are well combined; pour the mixture into the pie crust.

Place the filled pie crust in the preheated oven and bake until the filling is firm to the touch, which should take around 35 to 40 minutes.
