Cinnamon Sautéed Apples
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 large tart apples - peeled, cored and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1
Heat a large skillet or saucepan over medium warmth to melt the butter.
2
Introduce sliced apples into the pan and cook, stirring frequently, until they are almost soft to the touch, approximately 6-7 minutes long.
3
Combine water and cornstarch in a tiny bowl until the cornstarch is fully incorporated and smooth; pour it over the apples. Add brown sugar and cinnamon to the mixture, stirring well.
4
Allow the mixture to come to a boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally at first and then less frequently towards the end.
5
Retire the pan from heat and present the apples warm.
