Ingredients
- 1 (12.4 ounce) package refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced, or more to taste
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1
Begin by preheating your oven to a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take the cinnamon rolls and roll them out onto a clean work surface to achieve your desired thickness. Press the dough down into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form a flat layer.
3
In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to mix the ingredients until they form a crumbly mixture.
4
Spread sliced apples evenly over the cinnamon roll crust. In another bowl, mix together granulated white sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until well combined. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples, followed by a layer of oat crumble on top.
5
Once you've prepared your dish, place it in the preheated oven and bake until the apples are tender, which should take anywhere from 40 to 50 minutes.
6
To serve, place your icing in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds, or until warmed through. Pour this warm icing over your crisp, cinnamon roll dessert.
