Firstly, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius. Next, pour some oil into a standard-sized 9x13-inch baking dish and place it in the oven to warm up for about five minutes.

Once your oil is hot, add some diced potatoes into the dish and bake in the oven for twenty minutes, flipping them halfway through - around ten minutes.

Simultaneously, in a small container, combine some brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper to create a sweet spice blend.

After the potatoes have finished baking for twenty minutes, take them out of the oven and sprinkle them generously with the sweet spice blend.

Mix everything together to coat the potatoes evenly, then put them back in the oven for an additional ten minutes, or until they're tender and have a lovely golden brown color.
