Ingredients
- 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
1
Collect and prepare all necessary ingredients.
2
Preheat the oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Apply a thin layer of cooking spray to a rectangular baking dish measuring 9x13 inches.
3
Unroll one can of store-bought crescent dough and spread it evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Set aside an identical can for later use.
4
Combine a soft cheese spread, 1 cup granulated sugar, and a hint of vanilla extract in a medium-sized bowl until you achieve a smooth consistency. Spread this mixture evenly over the layer of crescent dough.
5
Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it on top of the cream cheese layer without pressing down. Drizzle melted butter over the entire surface.
6
In a small bowl, mix together remaining 1/4 cup granulated sugar and a pinch of cinnamon; sprinkle this mixture over the top layer.
7
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is crispy and golden brown.
8
Once the dish has cooled down, cut it into 24 equal-sized squares.
