- 2 pounds chorizo sausage, casings removed and crumbled
- 2 green bell peppers, seeded and chopped
- 2 sweet onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons crushed garlic

In a slow cooker, mix together the sausage, green pepper, onion, and tomato paste. Add in some wine and water to create a rich sauce, along with minced garlic for added flavor. Stir everything together until it's well combined. Cover the cooker and cook on a low setting for 8 hours, allowing all the flavors to meld together. After 8 hours, lift the lid and continue cooking for another 2 hours, allowing some of the liquid to evaporate. Finally, serve the dish over a bed of rice or with crusty Portuguese rolls
