- 1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius. Next, prepare and bake a cake mix as indicated on the package for two 9-inch round cakes. Once baked, let them cool and remove from their respective pans.

In a large mixing vessel, combine sweetened condensed milk and melted chocolate. Gradually blend in water, followed by instant pudding until a smooth consistency is achieved. Allow the mixture to chill for at least 30 minutes.

After refrigerating, remove the chocolate mixture and stir it to loosen any solidified layers. Then, gently fold in whipped cream before returning the mixture to the refrigerator for at least another hour.

Place one of the cake layers on a serving plate. Cover it with 1 1/2 cups of mousse, followed by the second cake layer. Spread the remaining mousse over the top and refrigerate until ready to serve. Finish with a garnish of fresh fruit or chocolate shavings.
