  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 8 ounces chocolate chips

Heat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

To prevent the dish from sticking, lightly coat it with a thin layer of oil or cooking spray.

Cover the entire base of the prepared baking dish with crushed matzohs, fitting them together as needed to fill any gaps.

Combine the margarine and brown sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved, about 3 minutes; pour this mixture over the matzohs in the baking dish.
