Chocolate Hazelnut French Toast

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®), or more to taste
  • 4 slices cinnamon bread (such as Pepperidge Farm®)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Apply a thin layer of chocolate-hazelnut spread to one side of each slice of cinnamon bread, then place another slice on top to create two sandwiches.

Combine milk, egg, and vanilla in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Submerge each sandwich into the milk mixture for 15 seconds on each side, allowing it to become moistened.

Preheat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray.

Cook the sandwiches in the hot pan, turning them over frequently until they develop a browned bottom, approximately 2 minutes. Flip the sandwiches again and continue cooking for an additional minute or until the other side is also browned.
