  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine milk that has been condensed into a thick liquid, chocolate chips, and butter in a large cooking vessel over medium heat. Heat the mixture gently until the chocolate chips and butter dissolve, then maintain the heat and stir continuously until the sauce reaches a desired consistency, approximately 5 additional minutes. Take the pan off the heat source and stir in vanilla extract.
