Chocolate Espresso Bites
Ingredients
  • 4 ounces milk chocolate, chopped, divided
  • 1/2 cup coffee beans
Instructions
1
Begin by placing 2 ounces of chocolate into a microwave-safe container. Heat it in short intervals on the lowest setting until it reaches a semi-melted state, approximately 1 minute; be careful not to let the chocolate turn brown. Stop the process as soon as it reaches this point and gently stir any remaining solid pieces to ensure complete melting. Allow the chocolate to cool slightly, about 1 minute.
2
Next, add a small handful of coffee beans into the melted chocolate and thoroughly coat them. Use a fork to separate the beans once they are fully covered, then place them on a sheet of waxed paper, making sure the beans aren't touching each other. Repeat this process with the remaining coffee beans.
3
As you wait for the chocolate to set, which should take around 30 minutes, prepare the second coating of chocolate. Place another 2 ounces of chocolate into a microwave-safe container and heat it in short intervals on the lowest setting until it reaches a semi-melted state, approximately 1 minute; be careful not to let the chocolate turn brown. Stir any remaining solid pieces to ensure complete melting, and allow it to cool slightly for about 2 minutes.
4
Now, dip the coffee beans that have already been coated in chocolate into the melted chocolate for a second time. Use a fork to separate the beans once they are fully covered, then place them on a new sheet of waxed paper, making sure the beans aren't touching each other. Allow these beans to cool completely, which should take around 30 minutes as well.
