Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups grated zucchini
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary ingredients and prepare the oven for baking by setting it to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2
Next, lubricate a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and dust it lightly.
3
In the meantime, whisk together milk and vinegar in a large container; allow the mixture to curdle for approximately 5 minutes.
4
Meanwhile, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
5
Add sugar, melted butter, oil, eggs, and vanilla to the curdled milk mixture; thoroughly blend until the ingredients are well incorporated. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring only until they are just combined. Gently fold in grated zucchini.
6
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with chocolate chips on top.
7
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, approximately 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
